I have lived in six countries overseas and collected beads wherever I’ve traveled. That is my inspiration for making jewelry pieces that are unique. I especially like working with African beads with their bright colors, and semi-precious stones that give an ethnic feel.

Bio
I’m a retired elementary school librarian and classroom teacher. I taught overseas for 21 years and in my travels, bought ethnic jewelry. After I learned to create jewelry, I used those beads to make more modern pieces using the beads from the many countries. I have a small business (Faraway Beads)designing, making, and selling jewelry. I also love to share my passion of beads and teach others the basic skills. I have taught adult classes at OLLI and children at the Fayetteville Public Library.
