Wood lathe turning is a passion that I have followed with my father for years. It is my desire that every piece I create is enjoyed by someone as much as I enjoyed creating it. From one of a kind bowls to pens and sewing products, everything I turn, I turn to be used, enjoyed, and shared.

Wood is as unique to me as the turning process itself. Someone once asked me where the inspiration for each project comes from. To be honest, I really do just let the wood speak. Sometimes the nature of the wood dictates the direction and shape the piece will take as it is being turned.
Wood lathe turning is a passion that I followed with my father for years. It is my desire that every piece I create is enjoyed by someone as much as I enjoyed creating it. My pieces are meant to be used and enjoyed! From one of a kind bowls to pens to sewing products, everything I turn, I turn to be used, enjoyed, and shared, and hopefully become family heirlooms.
I am a retired public educator for nearly 25 years. Currently I reside in Northwest Arkansas with my lovely wife and our cat Nelly, but am a Native Missourian. My craft is something that I have shared with my sons who both now enjoy turning as well but not professionally. I have been turning professionally for some years now and plan to continue until my body says otherwise. The joy of the craft is something that never diminishes. I am also passionate about the education of others. I take advantage of many opportunities to teach and instruct the art of turning in multiple venues.
