The Country Store – Glass Generation

Nichole Strawser | Farmington

When I was a kid growing up in the mountains in North Carolina, my grandfather owned a very small gas station in the country. Across the single lane highway from his store was an older lady who took me under her wing on the weekends when I went out to help stock my PaPaw’s shelves. She taught me how to create with stained glass. My grandpa’s gas station was called The Country Store. I love that in doing glass I honor him and stay true to my passion.
