Abstract for me is a way of expressing feelings while balancing out visuals. Generally I choose colors that express my mood. The more on the canvas the more busy or out of control I feel. Less variety usually expresses feelings of being lonely, empty, sad, or morose. I also take longer to make my abstract pieces, typically leaving them and coming back over time until I am satisfied.
