Arkansas Sunset Study #2

For the last few years I have been practicing landscapes, an area where I feel quite uncomfortable. I have an idea in my mind of wanting to capture Arkansas beautiful and colorful landscape. I have learned over time through finally exploring oils that they come much closer to capturing depth, however, I do also love the simplicity and impressionism that watercolor offers. I hope to offer landscapes in oil in the future as my skill increases. This also makes me think of my and my rescue husband’s dreams to purchase more land one day. We would ideally like about ten or so acres, with plenty of greenery, to make our own oasis. Currently, I am in my cute little house with close neighbors. One of the little girls who lives a few houses down loves to sing and we hear her amazing concerts each night. It is adorable, she screams her heart out.
