Bio

I was born in 1955 and grew up on a 150 acre farm in a family of ten.  My rural roots inform my work and I draw on those memories to create scenes that are indicative of growing up in a large family in 1960s Arkansas.

In 2003 I graduated from UCA with a BA in Fine art. The next seven years I was fortunate enough to work independently for non-profits  and own an art gallery and yoga studio.  During that time, I met and worked with many interesting artists, and I saw first hand the importance of the arts in a community.  Later, I taught art for Clinton School District from 2010-2019. Today, I am happy to be retired from a paying job and able to work in my studio as much as time allows. My life experiences are reflected in my work as I attempt to communicate with others through color and composition.

My recent works have included my love for dress patterns and fabrics.
