Sculpture “Shifting Patterns” is made by casting molten glass into a steel mold and pressing objects into the hot glass to create textures. The tow sizes of glass blocks are about 6x9x1 inches or 3x3x1 inches. The glass blocks slide into steel rails and are capped at the top with another piece of steel. The title relates not only to climate shifts but the patterns seen in water and natural formations. The sculpture is 104 inches height (including stainless steel base), 32 inches width, 28 inches depth.
