Our unique formulation contains all of the most effective, nourishing, natural acne-fighting and skin-healing ingredients in one bottle.

A 5% solution of niacinamide is clinically shown to be the best proportion of vitamin B3 in a topical serum, for the greatest skin benefits and also maintaining pH balance.

Instead of retinol, we use Babchi/Bakuchi oil. Babchi is a safer and more effective retinol alternative. It has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-tumor, anti-bacterial and hepatoprotective abilities. Babchi oil has a whole host of skincare benefits in addition to its traditional medicinal uses. It works as a brightening moisturizer for all skin types and improves skin tone. What makes babchi special is the recent discovery that it behaves on the skin in a way very similar to well-known retinol. While chemically, it has nothing to do with the vitamin-A family, aka retinoids, comparative gene expression profiling (a fancy way of saying that they compared how retinol and bakuchi modify the way skin cells behave and produce important skin proteins such as collagen) shows that retinol and bakuchi regulate skin cell behavior in a similar way, but bakuchi is superior. They both reduce the appearance of fine lines and improve skin texture. However, using retinol on skin involves the risk of discoloration, dryness, redness, inflammation, irritation, and dermatologists don’t recommend retinol during pregnancy or breastfeeding (it’s toxic!). Retinol can negatively interact with other exfoliation ingredients or toners to cause irritation. Unlike retinol, babchi plays nicely with other skincare ingredients. You can use babchi alongside a vitamin C serum, squalane, hyaluronic acid, glycerin, aloe, or niacinamide. Compared to retinol, babchi is high in antioxidants. When it’s used on wounds, it helps to regenerate the epidermis. It’s not just a safer alternative to retinol but appears to work better against skin aging because of its antioxidant and firming properties. Here are some other ways babchi benefits the skin: Reduces dark spots, hyperpigmentation, scars, and discoloration, good for acne-prone skin, improves elasticity, fights free radicals to protect skin cells, boosts collagen production to restore firmness, adds hydration, good for dry skin, leaves skin feeling fresh and nourished, antioxidant, aids in tissue repair by increasing white blood cell count. Some serums use bakuchiol, a highly processed form of bakuchi. Bakuchi is the pure, pressed seed oil of the plant. We use bakuchi seed oil in this recipe for several reasons. It’s not processed like bakuchiol and it’s oil soluble. Bakuchiol is only one of the constituents derived from the babchi plant. The components of the whole plant work synergistically together.

All of the hand-selected essential oils work together synergistically to calm and sooth many kinds of skin irritations (and the mind!). They are good for mature, dry, itchy, or inflamed skin, wrinkles, regulating sebum production, and lowering stress, which contributes to problem skin. They reduce inflammation, strengthen the immune system, and have antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal properties, which all help to heal skin conditions.

Our anti-acne face serum wouldn’t be the marvel it is without each and every one of the important constituents we’ve included.

Christian, wife, stay-at-home mom, entrepreneur. I have been making my own organic, holistic products for about 15 years for all of my family’s bath & body and other skincare needs. We have never purchased a store-bought product since then! In 2022, I began selling my items and have seen great success and we are thrilled to be able to share these uniquely organic products with others. Aside from running the business, we enjoy studying theology and languages, music, homesteading, and raising our little darlings.
