A young woman sits in stillness, her gaze fixed somewhere beyond the viewer, as if lost in thought.

Soft light falls across her face while the shadows around her create a sense of silence and isolation. There are no more tears left to fall, only the glossed-over eyes that have already cried, the ringing in the ears, and the outer silence that comes after.

This piece captures the moment when pain is still fresh, when the mind circles the same question again and again, unable to accept what has happened. It is the moment of stillness that follows heartbreak.

That loud ringing in your ears.

And the endurance of a heart trying to understand how to go on.
