The tripod end table is much more useful for simple living than your standard end table. The tripod legs easily slide under most standard couches and chairs. This brings the cantilevered top very close to you. Perfect to keep your Ipad, book, coffee cup, or snacks within easy reach. Of course it will also function as a display stand for your favorite plant, I won’t tell. I have been field testing this design with my dog Hank, for six months now. We both think it is a five star design.

I purchased locally harvested walnut logs for my material. Sawed the logs on my sawmill and dried the wood in my humidification kiln. Milled the wood in my shop here in Nob Hill. I take great care to get good color and grain matches on the wood. The table top is 16” in diameter and 27” high. The finish is a hard wax plant based oil made in Germany. The finish will never chip or crack and is easily repaired if damaged. I am offering these tables at $1,250. At present time I have two ready to go. I can also custom make these tables in a different species or size. Lead time is normally several months.

Bio

I took an early retirement from the telephone company in 2000 to build a new house and shop in beautiful northwest Arkansas.  Retirement also allowed me time to run my sawmill.  I custom saw for many people who bring any where from one log to a dozen logs.  Many times these logs would have ended up in a burn pile.

When not sawing, I work in my shop where “I just make things”.  I primarily make products out of wood but I also do some metal work.  Production work is boring so I like the one off designs. I am a active member of the Stateline Woodturning Club. I was voted “Woodturner of The Year” in 2020. Some of my woodturnings are normally on display at the Rogers Historical Museum. I have also exhibited work at the Walton Arts Center Joy Pratt Markham gallery during the “Our Art, Our Region, Our Time” exhibition.

As a maker, my goal is to make items that are both useful and beautiful.  When I accomplish both, it satisfies my soul.
