Real Belonging

Brandyn Gallagher | AR

Real Belonging is a small, heart-led design studio creating apparel, art, and home goods that celebrate joy, kindness, and connection. I lovingly craft each design by hand, and my printing partner puts my images on high-quality, comfortable materials shipped directly to you. Each design is made to let folks know they’re loved, start conversations, and remind our neighbors that belonging for all is a reality we can build together.

From cozy shirts and art prints to thoughtful gifts, every design is crafted with care by a local trans, queer, disabled artist who believes softness is a form of strength. Real Belonging is about finding joy in who we are and extending that same welcome to everyone around us. Designs range from loud and proud, to subtle and quiet as a church mouse. Perfect for younger queer people who yearn to express themselves without being bullied, or even for casually showing allyship in the workplace.

Bio

Brandyn is a sixth-generation Ozarks hillbilly who was raised by their great grandmother as a child. They perceive the world through a time-warp of willfully-naive hope, dedicated to the promise of extending neighborliness and community care to all people.

After 10+ years of consulting in Inclusion and Belonging (www.realbelonging.org), Brandyn saw the need for tangible joy, identity affirmation, and ways to remind one another we are not alone amidst the storms of chaos. They began drawing a hillbilly possum in transgender coveralls one day and immediately knew the world needed more of the joy that adorable little critter gave them. Thus was born: RealBelonging.shop.
